UK Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn Praises Felafels At The British Kebab Awards

The socialist leader of the UK Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, clearly knows the issues his constituency are frothing over. On Tuesday night he appeared at the British Kebab Awards, presenting the award for Outstanding Contribution To The British Kebab Industry.

This is a gamechanger. This is important. Like in Australia, kebabs are an essential part of Britain‘s multicultural cuisine, and now Corbyn is here to recognise it.
He gave a speech in which he confirmed his particular tastes when it comes to kebabs. “When people buy kebabs, I want them to have a salad too, so they can have the balanced diet we all need.” Controversial stance, Jeremy. Nobody is going into a kebab shop for a salad.
Though Corbyn is a vegetarian, he confirms he is still a kebab shop connoisseur. “I’m always very pleased when I get to any kebab shop to enjoy a good felafel.”

The British Kebab Awards celebrate the contribution of the kebab shop industry to Britain. It’s homepage features quotes from British political luminaries, including Prime Minister David Cameron who wrote:
“The kebab industry has made a very significant contribution towards the UK economy and shows entrepreneurial aptitude through each and every successful small business venture. Kebabs have become part of our food heritage, alongside fish and chips and curry.”
When’s the Australian Kebab Awards? And, more importantly, will Bill Shorten front up and deliver an award?
