One of the unexpected outcomes of Donald Trump Jr inexplicable tweeting out evidence of collusion with Russia is that it basically broke a US journalist who’d been following the story for a year.
Jared Yates Sexton found himself in disbelief yesterday that the president’s idiot son just casually tweeted screenshots of the emails like it was NBD. Like he just… tweeted… them out.
This is the dumbest and biggest crime in the history of American politics. There’s not even a close second.

I chased this story for a year and he just…tweeted it out.

I tracked down sources. Followed so many dead leads. Labored over this. And then, he just, you know, tweeted out the proof.

I’m not entirely convinced I’m not having a break from reality.

You can’t help but feel a bit bad for the guy. He wasn’t the only one working on this story, but to be owned by the dumbest member of the Trump family is definitely humiliating.
