President (not for much longer) Donald Trump has finally urged protesters to go home after hours of chaos at the US Capitol follow Congress’ move to begin the transition of power to Joe Biden.
In case you somehow missed it, hundreds of pro-Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday afternoon local time, fighting with police and breaking into restricted areas of the building. At this point, we’re just going to call a spade a spade here – this is an attempted coup.
But thankfully, Trump has finally asked them to go the fuck home, but not before reminding the protesters that he loves them and they are “very special”. You simply cannot make this shit up.
“I know your pain, I know you’re hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now, we have to have peace, we have to have law and order,” he said in a video on Twitter, which has already been flagged for being a false claim of election fraud.

Twitter has quickly moved to stop the tweet from being liked, replied to or retweeted in an attempt to reduce the “risk of violence.” You know, very normal democratic things happening here.
“We have to respect our great people in law and order. We don’t want anybody hurt,” Trump said.
“It’s a very tough period of time, there’s never been a time like this where they could take it away from all of us. From me, from you, from our country. This was a fraudulent election but we can’t play into the hands of these people.”
But after once *again* claiming that the election was stolen, he finally asked his supporters to go home and, you know, stop wreaking havoc on the Capitol. However, he softened the blow by reminding them all that he loves them and they are “very special” to him.
“We have to have peace, so go home, we love you, you’re very special. You’ve seen what happens, you see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil, I know how you feel but go home and go home in peace.”
We’re literally only a week into 2021 and we’re already dealing with this. Please, I am begging you, stick a fork in me because I am done.
