Trump Signs Executive Order, Says Construction Of The Wall Will Begin ASAP

In a press conference, President Donald Trump has announced that work on the wall separating Mexico from the US will begin immediately.
Speaking to the press this morning, Trump said that he has just signed off on two immigration-related decrees, and his team, headed up by Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly, will “begin immediate construction of a border wall”.
“I just signed the executive orders which will save thousands of lives, millions of lives.

Beginning today, the United States of America gets back control of its borders.”
He also said immediate work will begin on removing Mexican criminals from the US:
“We’re going to get the bad ones out. The criminals and the drug deals and gangs and gang members and cartel members, the day is over when they can stay in our country and wreak havoc.

We’re going to get them out and we’re going to get them out fast.”
Trump said that he was “looking forward” to meeting with Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto, saying they will be able to “save lives on both sides of the border”.
Mexican media has reported that Nieto may cancel the meeting if the executive order was signed to go forward with building the wall.
