It’s well known that one of Donald Trump‘s biggest challenge coming into the election will be reaching out to the Hispanic community, who he called rapists and criminals that one time. He has 12 percent approval among Hispanic Americans, which is decidedly not very high.
So begins the outreach. He’s taken the chance to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the Mexican national holiday, with a tweet featuring a photo of the world’s most indescribably heinous taco bowl and a Tweet reading “I love Hispanics!” Good one, chief! Nailed it!

Now, Australia doesn’t have good Mexican food. That’s a fact. It’s getting better, and better eateries are starting to crop up in the major cities, but we’re still well behind. As one American friend once told me, referring to a Guzman y Gomez burrito: “It’s okay, but it’s not a burrito.”
But even our lizard brains are capable of understanding that this is not a good taco bowl. It looks like trash. What is this?
That cheese is giving me nightmares. As some eagle-eyed Twitter users quickly identified, it looks like Trump is eating the forbidden meal on top of a photo of his ex-wife, Marla Maples.
