Talented legend and chronic pain warrior Halsey has endometriosis, which went undiagnosed for years by doctors who told her she was being “a big baby”.
If you’re in the dark about endo, it’s a incurable disease that can affect those with a uterus (currently, stats say around 1 in 10 women are living with endo).
People that live with endo experience severe pain, which is caused by tissue similar to the lining of endometrium (which normally lines the uterus) basically growing where it ruddy well shouldn’t.
It can often cause infertility, it’s a chronic condition, and it is excruciating as all hell. (Author note: People who live with endo are tough motherfuckers, believe me.)
The singer first opened up about her battle with the chronic disease early last year, posting this supportive tweet to her followers:
If any of my fans or followers have #endometriosis ?? having a rough time today. laying in bed thinking of you. pic.twitter.com/LOQVn5BsSg

Now, Halsey has spoken out again – from her hospital bed, post-surgery.
The singer had to have a “cocktail of procedures”, one of which was to “hopefully” treat her endometriosis.
However, despite being in “total agony“, the singer was (as usual) a beacon of positivity and support, telling her followers,
“If you suffer from chronic pain or a debilitating disease please know that I have found time to live a crazy, wild, rewarding life AND balance my treatment and I hope so much in my heart that you can too.”
Oh Halsey, you are such a glorious, glittering gem of a human being. Thanks for speaking out about being an #endowarrior.
