As we said earlier this week, it’s a bit shit when your family disappoint you. And no one knows that feeling better than openly homosexual City of Sydney councillor Christine Forster.
Her brother is ex-Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who recently travelled to the US to speak at an event hosted by ‘Alliance Defending Freedom‘, a staunchly conservative group that really bloody hates abortion, gender equality laws, and same-sex marriage.
During Tones’ speech, he ‘defended common sense’, and said that same-sex marriage will contribute to “the erosion of family”. He also reckons most kids would want to be raised by a mother and father (because a conservative middle-aged politician speaking for ALL children makes sense, right?)
“We shouldn’t try to change something without understanding it, without grasping why it is that one man and one woman open to children until just a very few years ago has always been considered the essence of marriage and the heart of family.”
We will once again use this fabbo Community .gif to accurately describe how Abbott sees the crumbling of the institution of marriage if gay people are allowed in to RUIN and DECIMATE it because THAT IS OUR EVIL SECRET QUEER AGENDA:
Considering Tony’s previously spoken out about his sister’s relationship, saying that the way the pair live ‘shows their commitment to each other, even though there’s been no ceremony’, it’s no wonder Forster’s a little taken aback by his most-recent speech.
She took to Twitter to eloquently say to her brother that he’s being a ridiculous fuckhead that she disagreed:
Marriage is good for our society. That’s why it’s better for all of us if more can be married @TonyAbbottMHR

Allowing same sex couples to marry doesn’t damage the institution in any way. It honours it @TonyAbbottMHR
