Tinder’s Testing A “Share” Button So You Can Curate A Mate’s Next Smang

Tinder occupies a very peculiar cultural niche, ’cause the smang-happy app supercharges personal connections while also destroying the need to, well, go outside and meet people.

The app’s latest update looks set to push Tinder further into that paradoxical twilight zone: soon enough, you might be able to share users’ profile links with your mates / parents / religious counsel, even without the arduous physical task of turning your phone’s screen to their faces.

According to their official blog, a small number of users will be given the distinct privilege on a test basis. Hypothetically, should someone’s “live, laugh, love” biography send a tester all heart-eyes emoji, they’ll be able to shoot a link out to those near and dear.

Said link can be clicked five times before it disappears, with a 72 hour deadline. If that link leads to a successful swipe? Congrats, friendo – your profile may just appear in their recommendations.

As the addition is still basically in beta testing, it may be a lil’ while before you’re actually able to spam your BFF with their ex’s profile. Until then, business as usual.
