
Following the announcement of the Federal Budget which included a fairly grim outlook for University students, and after tens of thousands of people took to the streets for the March in May, thousands of University students have again taken to the streets to voice their displeasure at the Abbott Government and their proposed cuts to higher education and deregulation of University fees.

The protests follows the Prime Minister‘s decision to cancel a planned appearance at the Geelong campus of Deakin University amid fears of being confronted by protesters.
