This Uni Basketball Team Dropped A C-Bomb In What Was Meant To Be A PG Social Promo

A basketball team in the Philippines have made headlines for dropping an accidental c-bomb in their latest social media campaign.

If you think you had a bit of a mishap at work today, I guarantee this will make you feel a little better.

The Red Warriors recently released a series of images with the caption “make it count”. But, as you’d expect, they replaced the “o” with the players’ heads, so it read “make it c*nt”.

The campaign was used to promote the team for the RedWire University Athletic Association of the Philippines championship games.

It’s unclear whether the c-word holds the same meaning in the Philippines, or if it’s quite as offensive, but the internet sure made it clear that they had dropped a sneaky c-bomb.

The team quickly deleted the images and re-uploaded them with the players no longer obstructing the letter “o”, however, screenshots still made the rounds online.

RedWire later issued a lengthy apology for the mishap.

The statement apologised for the “graphic design blunder” and explained that the RedWire design team is completely comprised of volunteers, so at least nobody was paid for the c-bomb. They also claimed that the profanity was a mistake, and was completely unintentional.

I’m not quite sure how nobody picked up on the profanity before the photos were posted, but I guess any publicity is good publicity, right?
