This Fan-Made Monopoly Set Takes ‘Fallout: New Vegas’ To The Next Level

There’s a Monopoly set for almost every pop culture phenomenon, and those that don’t have official versions have fan-made ones – Fallout is no exception in this respect, with a number of DIY attempts over the years.

The latest one of these, however, inspired a wave of ‘SHUT UP AND TAKE MY BOTTLE CAPS MONEY’ when a Redditor by the name of KongoBoom posted his handiwork, a Fallout: New Vegas inspired work of genius.
The game is true to the world of New Vegas, with Camp Searchlight and Vault 22 its most low-rent locations, and The Strip as its most baller; the utilities are Lake Mead and Poseidon Energy. Shacks and casinos sub in for houses and hotels.
‘Chance’ and ‘Community Chest’ have been replaced with ‘Luck’ and ‘Lock Pick’, with events like winning second prize in a beauty contest replaced with looting corpses.
The currency unit isn’t specified in the original post, but bottle caps are the clear choice. KongoBoom is working on making a full set for himself, and has said he will post his handiwork when he’s finished.
A U.S. Gamestop employee who commented on the post said that an official Fallout Monopoly set may be on its way in early October, although nothing is 100% confirmed as yet.
Who knows, maybe by that time, you’ll be done playing Fallout Shelter and ready to poke your head back into the outside world?
