Gird your loins, everyperson!
After a hiatus that has now lasted well over a year, the legendary Dr. Steve Brule will finally be making his way back to the airwaves in early 2016.
Beautifully demented idiots Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have revealed that a fourth season of the much beloved Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule is officially in production, with the pair – along with co-creator and show star John C. Reilly – currently in the midst of writing the season.
For those not in the know (and seriously if you’re not, what’s wrong with you ya dingus?) the show is a whackadoo take on a news magazine show that inflicts the magnificent social awkwardness of Reilly’s Steve Brule character on just about every goddamned tiny little thing you could ever imagine.
The show is deliberately constructed to look super low budget and amateurish, with the post production team feeding the footage through a VHS player and hitting it occasionally to achieve the full effect.
The fourth season of the show will likely be filmed later this year, with Tim & Eric stating it should hit TV screens sometime around February or March of next year.
