There’s A ‘Gayby Baby’ Exhibition Coming To Mardi Gras & It Looks Dope AF

Right in time for Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (YAAAAASSSSS), the team behind neo-iconic, controversial-for-ridiculous-reasons film ‘Gayby Baby‘ has lent their talents to a new photographic exhibition in Sydney.
Titled ‘Gaybies: We Are Not A Hypothetical’ [Author note: ah-may-zing name, love], the exhibition will feature 12 portraits of children who have LGBTQI parents.
If you’ve seen Gayby Baby, you’re probably already aware of the general motive of both the movie and this exhibition, but for those that haven’t (but will soon  because it is excellent *stern look*) here’s what their statement said about it:
“With many children of LGBTQI parents regularly facing the challenge of growing up hearing their families being denigrated by media and politicians, this public art exhibition by Jez Smith (renowned British fashion and beauty photographer, best known as a judge on Australia’s Next Top Model) with Casey Legler (the first female model to exclusively sign on the men’s books of Ford Models), aims to increase visibility of children, teens and young adults currently living with LGBTIQ parents in Australia and show how beautiful and diverse modern Australian families are.”
‘Gaybies: We Are Not a Hypothetical’ launches Thursday 18 February and runs until Tuesday 8 March 2016, outside Sydney Town Hall.
