The Sydney Opera House Police Operation Is Over, Cops Explain Nothin’

The police operations that occurred today at the Sydney Opera House and in Manly are both over, NSW Police confirm.

While some have tweeted from the scene that the operations were ‘a search for an object’, that ‘a threat’ had occurred, or even that there was a threat made towards a specific ferry – police are still explaining nothing.
The media statement about the operation was short and sweet, to say the least:
So, the only thing we know was that the operation was launched due to information found on social media. That’s it.
Please note the Crimestoppers paragraph at the bottom, urging the public to come forward with any information that may have about the incident.

We’ll update this story as more information arises.
