The Police Want David Leyonhjelm Sacked ‘Cause He Called ‘Em All Bastards

The Police Association of NSW are calling for Liberal Democrat Senator David Leyonhjelm to be sacked, after his teeny-weeny, itty bitty little insult about the way police treat the public at football matches.
The quote from Leyonhjelm, talking about his current inquiry into the treatment of Western Sydney Wanderers fans at games, was this:
“There is a saying amongst them that all cops are bastards. The cops have earned that label, they have to un-earn it.”
Scott Weber, the head of the Association was obviously unimpressed, saying to reporters that the comments were “appalling”, and that Leyonhjelm did not represent the views of most Australians:
“The senator, by repeating those comments and backing them up, is not acting how any elected official should behave. Such attitudes and vitriol are, and always will be, an affront to community decency and values.”
But, surprise surprise, Leyonhjelm stuck to his big fat libertarian guns. He said to reporters today,
“The police are not our masters. They are our servants and I think they should remember that.”
Then this afternoon, radio presenter Rad Hadley boarded the opinion train, calling Leyonhjelm a “dimwit” and “Captain of the dills in the Senate”, and labelling his comments “lunacy”. He also went on to say, “This bloke and thinking are foreign enemies”
But you know ol’ mate Libertarian Dave! He’s not one to take things lying down. And where does one go when one does not want to take something lying down? Twitter, of fucking course.

You gotta admire the guys defiance, tbqh.
