Remember 2007?
While we could rattle on for hours about how and why the 00s were one of the most ridiculous yet excellent decades to exist, we have to admit that one of the most ridic moments was The Britney Meltdown of 2007™.
ICYMI – Britney Spears wasn’t doing so good mentally, after a lifetime of being a child star – you know, the classic tale. She had a teensy bit of a meltdown, which involved publicly shaving all of her hair off in an LA salon, attacking a paparazzo with an umbrella, and a helluva lot of partying and drinking.

In 07, Britney attacked Ramos’ Ford Explorer with the umbrella, hitting the 4WD and screaming ‘Fuck you!’. She then dropped the umbrella, ran to her car and sped off. Another paparazzo picked up the umbrella and handed it to Ramos.
“It was a bad moment in her life,” said Ramos. “Unfortunately it was captured.”
Britney later posted on her website,
“I apologize to the pap for a stunt that was done 4 months ago regarding an umbrella. I was preparing my character for a role in a movie where the husband never plays his part so they switch places accidentally. I take all my roles very seriously and got a little carried away. Unfortunately I didn’t get the part.”
Now, on the tenth anniversary of the incident (yes! Ten years!) Ramos has decided to auction off the brolly for a good cause.
He’s told press that he will be donating 50% of the proceeds from the auctioned umbrella to a charity of Britney‘s choice.
