Is anyone safe from a Carpool Karaoke cameo in Hollywood? Apparently not – especially now that Apple Music has gotten on the bandwagon.
They just dropped a promo vid for their version of James Corden‘s ~iconic~ sketch, which saw the TV host pick up random celebs like One Direction and J.Lo, ferry them ’round in his vehicle, and make them sing along to the radio. Writing that out makes it sound like the most inane shit in existence, and yet, friends, we froth over it every time a new one drops. So there you go. Pls hold while I have an existential crisis for a minute over what that says about the state of humanity.
Apple Music’s version is a little different – celebs do the sing-a-long in the car stuff, but they also get out at various stops to have a good ol’, G-rated time. Thing is, the concept would probably be pretty meh if it wasn’t for the OUTSTANDING array of talent they’ve lined up. Like Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, IRL best mates and everyone’s fave estranged Westeros sisters.
We’ve also got the ENTIRE Cyrus family. Hoo, boy.
This is a weird gang – Jessica Alba, GOOP herself, and Will.I.Am.
And just to get to peak wtf, we have Ariana Grande dressed as a green reindeer alongside Seth Macfarlane.
That’s not even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to celebs involved – Queen Latifah, John Legend, Alicia Keys, LeBron James, Shakira and fkn Metallica are also starring in eps.
