There’s still a little while to go with the election count, but so far it is not playing like the exit polls predicted it would.
So far, there has actually been a very solid swing towards the Liberal National Party in Queensland, and the gains in Victoria have not been where the Labor Party would want them to be.

The polls in Western Australia have just closed, and the ABC‘s electoral analysis Antony Green predicts that if the Liberals don’t lose anything in WA they may well retain majority government. A Liberal minority government is also possible, as is a Labor win. But it’s looking very shaky for Labor.
Pre-polls haven’t been counted as yet, but at present it is expected that they will break in much the same way the rest of the votes have.
Whew lad.
