The Creators Project With Phoenix, Spike Jonze And More!

The Creators Project is an awesome looking Vice/Intel initiative that aims to celebrate creativity through some of the world’s most iconic cultural practitioners. The project’s website went live earlier this week and it mirrors the in-depth reportage and general spirit of Motherboard the tech-centric website VBS (Vice’s video arms) launched with Dell Computers last year.

Except instead of nerding out to vintage synthesizers and programming robots, The Creators Project focuses on the magic of creation, tapping some of Planet Earth’s most awesome people: Spike Jonze, Phoenix, Stefan Sagmeister, Chris Cunningham, Nick Zinner, Mark Ronson, Alexandre Herchcovich, Cassette Playa, Peaches and a whole lot more.

The partnership will also manifest physically through an art/music event in New York City next month featuring Sleigh Bells, Interpol, Die Antwoord, Gang Gang Dance, Salem, N.A.S.A., and Mark Ronson as well as an exhibition featuring Zinner, Takeshi Murata, Karl Sadler, Mark Essen, and Radical Friend. The event will then travel to London, Sao Paulo, Seoul and Beijing.

Check out the videos below for a quick rundown of the project as well as interviews with the affable gentlemen from Phoenix and UK artist Karl Sadler who recently constructed a sculpture based on The xx.
