The Boomstick Is Back In The Magnificently Gory New Trailer For “Ash Vs Evil Dead”

The televisual merry-go-round that is reboots and prequels and sequels and reunion series and reimaginings and reinterpretations and whatnot keeps grinding away like an old, carousel that nobody can find the off switch for.

‘Course once in a blue moon one of the horses on board magically secretes some grease and make the whole damned thing worth it once again.
Enter: Ash vs Evil Dead. The updated series following on from the Evil Dead series of films, putting much beloved actor Bruce Campbell back into the shoes of Ash Williams for another stint behind the wheel.
The new TV series is the fourth official chapter in the franchise, and the first since 1992’s Army of Darkness.
Though fans might have been somewhat cautious about bringing the franchise back, footage released at ComicCon this year quelled a lot of those fears. And now there’s a second trailer that – above all else – gives us a really good look at just how silly, over-the-top, and gloriously violent and gory the show will be. Hint: Blood, and lots of it.

Honestly, it’s Bruce Fkn Campbell being a wise-ass legend cracking jokes and blowing the heads off the the possessed undead with his chainsaw hand and a shotgun. What more could you ever want from a TV series? NOTHING, that’s what.
And if you’re gonna sit there and tell me that you haven’t seen (at least) Evil Dead II yet, then I’d think you were a cinematic idiot and I’d feel sorry for you.

I mean, it’s funny, and violent, and the soundtrack kicks fucking ass…
Ash vs Evil Dead premieres in the US on Halloween – October 31st. It’ll be available to stream in Australia the same day on Stan.
