The Body Of An Ex-Special Ops Cop Has Been Found In A Melbourne Factory

A man is in custody after the body of a former cop was found in a factory in the Melbourne suburbs just before 10am this morning.

Police made the discovery in Braeside after they were called to make a check on the factory.

It has been confirmed that the man is a former member of the Victoria Police‘s Special Operations Group – the elite tactical division of the state’s police force.
It is unknown if the death is being treated as suspicious at this time, though homicide squad detectives were present at the scene.
It is believed that a man turned himself in to Mordialloc Police Station early this morning, and that him doing so led to the discovery of the ex-officer’s body at the factory.
We’ll keep you posted.
