Taylor Swift’s Stalker Arrested For Allegedly Breaking Into Her Home, Again

A Florida man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into Taylor Swift‘s unoccupied New York City home, just weeks after he completed a six-month jail sentence for illegally entering the singer’s townhouse in 2018.

The New York City Police Department alleges Roger Alvarado, 23, used a ladder to reach the second storey of the Manhattan building on Thursday around 2:30am. Alvarado is accused of smashing a window with a brick before stepping foot into the home.

The townhouse was vacant as it is undergoing renovations. Still, the alleged break-in sparked an alarm, which resulted in NYPD rushing to the premises. The alleged offender had “ransacked the place,” a NYPD spokesperson said.

Alvarado was arrested at the scene. He was charged with stalking, suspicion of burglary, criminal mischief, criminal contempt, and possession of burglary tools. He was slated to face court today.

His new charges come after he was charged and convicted on burglary charges for breaking into the same property in April last year.

During that incident, police arrived at the scene to find Alvarado sleeping in bed after smashing a window and using the singer’s shower. Swift was not at the property at the time of the break-in. The Reputation chart-topper also filed an order of protection against her accused stalker.

Alvarado was only released from incarceration on those charges on February 5 this year.

The latest scare comes just days after Swift used an Elle column to say fears of violence at her performances – and at home – have prompted her to carry “army grade bandage dressing, which is for gunshot or stab wounds.

“Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I’ve ever had online. You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things.”

She also started using facial-recognition technology at her performances to warn her of the presence of known stalkers.

Swift has not publicly commented on the latest arrest.
