Your handsome Welsh and Scottish boyfriends Taron Egerton and Richard Madden are hitting the publicity trail ahead of the upcoming Elton John movie Rocketman, and hitting it hard.
The two recently did a stint together on Carpool Karaoke, which sees them driving around London and belting out songs like ‘Benny And The Jets‘ as well as Robert Palmer‘s ‘Addicted To Love‘.
Egerton plays Sir Elton himself, while Madden plays his manager and former lover John Reed, and in the below clip, they are certainly pushing a bit of the old sexual tension:
There’s also an extended preview from James Corden‘s YouTube channel:
Taron Egerton said that the film, which was produced by Elton John, is unafraid to show the singer at his lowest point. He said:
“This movie is primarily a celebration of Elton’s life and work and his musical partnership with [song-writing partner] Bernie Taupin, but it is also a story about someone who was not well becoming well, and that was always what I found most interesting and most exciting about it.”
“For him to come at this from a standpoint of ‘I’m going to show everyone myself at my most vulnerable and my most broken and damaged,’ I think that quality of bravery and lack of concern with how one comes across is quite unusual actually, and it is right at the heart of what makes Rocketman quite special, because Elton gave me the license to go and make him look quite ugly at times and that was always very important to me.”
Rocketman is out in Australia on May 30.
