Oh God: Former Bond Girl Tanya Roberts, Who Was Reported Dead At 65, Is Still Alive

Tanya Roberts, the former Bond girl who was reported dead at 65 just yesterday, is actually still alive. And rather than being a case of media getting it very, very wrong (it’s happened before), it appears to be a devastating case of hospital error.

Roberts was reported dead yesterday, after collapsing on Christmas Eve and being rushed to hospital in Los Angeles. Tributes to the 80s star were published far and wide.

However, it appears the hospital made a wee fuck up . Roberts’ representative told Variety that her husband, Lance O’Brien, was originally told she’d died, but the hospital called back on Monday morning local time to say she was very much still alive.

Her rep added that Roberts remains in the ICU in a “dire” condition.

TMZ were the first to report that Roberts was still alive. The gossip site also reported that a press release was sent the day before to inform them of Roberts’ passing. Christ, this situation is tragic.

The hospital where Roberts is being treated, Cedars-Sinai, has yet to make a statement. The hospital is overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients, with healthcare workers reporting growing fatigue.

Roberts appeared in the 1985 Bond film A View To Kill opposite Roger Moore, as well as Sheena: Queen of the Jungle, The Beastmaster, Body Slam and Night Eyes.
