Sydney, Your Friendly Reminder There’s A Massive Bacon Party This Weekend

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A PAID AD. WE, LIKE YOU, JUST REALLY <3 BACON.

God bless you, Luke Mangan, for commercialising Sydney‘s great love for pork.

The MOJO chef and his team are staging ‘The Biggest Ever Bacon Party’ at MOJO’s Waterloo warehouse this Saturday, with a one-off brunch in celebration of the smoky, crispy, porky, piggy goodness that’s the foundation of any hangover breakfast. Or just any breakfast, really.
Called Bacon, Brunch & Bubbles because everyone knows alliteration is the way to make something stick, there will be an unholy amount of bacon on offer, in forms you didn’t dare dream exist.
Case in point: bacon and egg cupcakes, bacon Bellini Mimosas, bacon empanadas, bacon Bloody Marys, bacon-infused ice cream etc etc etc.
There’ll also be a really jacked-up version of the bacon and egg roll, on brioche with chorizo jam.
Here she is… beautiful, no?
Those responsible for your inevitable porkcoma will include Mangan, obvs, as well as dessert legends Andy Bowden and Katherine Sabbath + the epic cake makers of Black Star Pastry + ice cream alchemists N2 Gelato + the fellas from Cuckoo Callay, who engineered Sydney’s first Bacon Festival last year.
And no bacon party would be complete without a pig on a spit, so there’ll be one of those too.
To cap off what will obviously be the best party of your life, there’ll be a DJ spinning a soundtrack to your gluttony.
Alls you have to do is pay $5 at the door (food + drink is extra) and you can bring home as much bacon as you like.
ENJOY.
Bacon, Brunch & Bubbles is on this Saturday, August 29 at 8 Danks Street, Waterloo. Doors open 10.30am – 3:30pm.
