Sydney Harbour Bridge Shut Down As Dude Hops Out Of Cab & Climbs To Top

Sydney Harbour Bridge has today been shut down and traffic brought to a stand still by a police operation, after a unnamed man climbed to the top.

He allegedly jumped out of a cab in the middle of the bridge at around 9:30am, and began climbing up the arch to the top.

7 News footage (below) shows the man sitting at the top of the arch of the bridge, and emergency services attempting to reach him.

Emergency services are still at the scene, and three city-bound lanes have been closed. Motorists have been warned to avoid the bridge, or expect heavy delays.

We will update this story as more details emerge.
