Flights departing Sydney Airport are experiencing massive delays after a “technical issue” impacted the airport’s air traffic control system this morning.

Domestic services were grounded at around 5.20am, leaving hundreds of Qantas, Virgin Australia, and Jetstar passengers stranded.

Virgin Australia reports flights have been approved to land at “a reduced rate.”
