We told you yesterday about the hotly-anticipated Louis Vuitton x Supreme pop-up coming to Bondi.
And for anyone who has an inkling of Supreme‘s cult following, it won’t come as a surprise that a fuckload of skate-brand die-hards queued up overnight outside the store in order to be among the first to get their mitts on some of the (admittedly outstanding-looking) gear.
The pop-up is only letting eight people into the shop at a time, which means that, according to The Age, the menswear equivalent of ticket scalping was rampant.
We’re talking people heading in, buying a bunch of $700 t-shirts, heading back out, and immediately selling them to people in line for $1400. That’s hustle right there.
Still, can’t blame ’em – the stuff on sale is the stuff of a particular demographics dreams. Personally, we’re fangin’ for that red leather backpack – maybe not at 200% the RRP, though.
