Supporting The Next Crop Of Australian TV Drama

SPONSORED EDITORIAL

For the fourth year running Optus have sponsored ONE80PROJECT which is a pretty amazing opportunity for up-and-coming film makers.

ONE80PROJECT is a national competition inviting anyone with a good idea for an hour long drama to submit a 180 second pilot and an accompanying treatment. This is then judged by an expert panel of industry specialists, which will ultimately be produced and aired on MTV in Australia, online and on mobile = mass exposure.

This Saturday at Hyde Park in Sydney the festivities kick off at 5pm with a free live acousitc performance by Stereophonics, a DJ set by Scribe’s turntablist/producer P-Money (!) and the announcement of the ONE80PROJECT winner will be made.

The winner of the project gets a budget of $250k to turn their idea into a full hour of TV drama – could we be staring down the barrel of Australia’s answer to The Hills?
