Study Confirms QLD Town That Tried To Ban Porn Is Actually Oz’s Horniest

The Queensland town that tried to get its citizens to give up watching porn has claimed the title of Australia’s sex toy capital.
Toowoomba, a cattle-farming town west of Brisbane with a population of about 100,000, caught media attention earlier this year when Mayor Paul Antonio led a movement to keep the township ‘porn-free’.
More than 200 men gathered in the town’s centre in October to share their anti-porn sentiments and to recite a pledge that read, in part, “I acknowledge that viewing pornography promotes exploitation of women and violence against women, and it damages families. I commit that I won’t view porn and I will help create a city free from porn.
Now, according to a study by online adult retailer Femplay, it’s been revealed that Toowoomba is responsible for the most adult toy purchases in Australia.
We’re quite surprised by the result, but we’re proud to crown Toowoomba as the nation’s sexiest town to live in,” the retailer said in a media release.
The adult purchases included toys for both men and women, and a wide variety of sexy outfits, suggesting that residents have taken the tacit porn-ban in stride and turned their attention to making their own.
Considering that the porn-free movement specifically avoided targeting the town’s local brothels and sex shops, could it be that this was in fact a well-executed long con to turn Toowoomba into Australia’s very own Maison Derriere?
