The US Air Force has been forced to issue a statement warning legions of UFO-obsessed teens to not storm Area 51 in Nevada after nearly a million people clicked ‘attending’ on a Facebook event planning to do just that. Sometimes the simulation we live in produces amazing results, you have to admit.
Pressed by the Washington Post, an Air Force spokesperson that anyone serious about attempting to storm Area 51 would be met with some resistance by armed forces.
“[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces,” the spokesperson said.
“The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets,” she added.
If you’ve noticed an absolute glut of alien and UFO related memes recently – I mean, more than the usual volume – then now you know why.
So my mom said she can take us to area 51 or pick us up, but she’s not doing both.

Look, as an editor at a website, I feel some responsibility towards making sure our readers don’t get Swiss cheesed by the US Air Force while attempting to storm a tightly defended military installation.
But! I also want to see them aliens. So, as far as I’m concerned, knock yourself out.
