Steggles Made A ‘Women Belong In Kitchen’ Father’s Day Joke, People Ain’t Happy

Every damn holiday, there’s alllllllllways one company that dun goofs and thinks that a little bit of light misogyny couldn’t possibly hurt their brand. This Father’s Day, we welcome to the arena: Steggles Chicken.

We’re not sure who is deciding that these ‘everyday sexism’ campaigns are “good” or “inoffensive” or “funny”, but they certainly might need:
1) a refresher course in marketing
2) a stiff drink
3) another five stiff drinks
and 4) possibly a new job.
‘GUFFAW, WOMEN HAVE BEEN CARETAKERS AND MOTHERS FOR YEARS TO THE DETRIMENT OF THEIR BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS, THAT’S WHY THEY CAN’T DRIVE OR VOTE! OH NO WAIT THEY CAN VOTE NOW; OKAY LET’S JUST DO ANOTHER ‘WOMEN BELONG IN THE KITCHEN’ JOKE TO BE SAFE’ – Steggles Marketing Department, (probably).
Anyway, people are not impressed in the slightest; the comments section looks like an war zone right now, and it’s getting worse ~better~ by the minute. Interestingly, the complainants seem to be a fairly even 50-50 split between men and women – a lovely reminder than sexism doesn’t just affect women, it is detrimental to absolutely everybody
Nothing like a good comment section hate-read, ja feel:
