SA Private School Boys Face Charges Over Explicit Material Filmed At Party

Two male students at South Australia’s most expensive private school are set to face charges after allegedly filming and distributing sexually explicit content at a private party.

According to The Advertiser, South Australia Police are aware two St Peter’s College students allegedly captured the invasive imagery following an intercollegiate football match against Prince Alfred College.

In a statement, St Peter’s College confirmed it is aware of the claims, but declined to offer further details as the issue is under police investigation.

“The school takes any allegations involving students very seriously,” the statement reads.

“St Peter’s College has high expectations of our students and the ways in which they behave — whether or not they are on school grounds.

“We have already and continue to take very firm action. We are supporting the police in their investigations and we may make further comments at an appropriate future date.”

Both students are set face the charges before Adelaide Youth Court.

Last year, South Australia enacted laws to combat revenge porn and indecent or invasive imagery of anyone under the age of 17. Offenders could spend two years behind bars or face a $10,000 fine if found guilty of sending or threatening to send such photos or videos.

The alleged incident comes after similar high-profile cases interstate drew media attention to a perceived culture of filming and sharing sexually exploitative content within elite educational institutions.
