Either This Is April Fool’s Early Or SA’s New R-Rated Tourism Slogan Is Better Than Sex

South Australia tourism ad

Not gonna lie, we were almost fooled by this erotic new ad campaign for South Australia’s food, produce and wine industries where the slogan is literally: “Go down south with your mouth.” It may have even gotten us a little bit excited.

But considering the time of year, it’s far more likely this sensual ode to all South Australia has to offer is in fact an elaborate, if entertaining, April Fool’s Day prank.

Peep this literal food porn below:

“Your tongue yearns for a certain sensation. Your heart and soul flower through flavour. Your taste buds take you to a fond place, familiar and warm,” a gentle voiceover says.

“There’s a time to breathe and feel the crisp air down here. There’s a time to let our abundant delights burst in our mouth.

“There’s a time to bask in Australian bush, native to our southern lands. There’s a time to discover new zest for life, to explore our hidden delights.

“It’s time to go down south with your mouth.”

This is all coupled by the most erotic footage of fresh food and booze imaginable.

unnfffff

If this explosion of on-screen flavour doesn’t stimulate your taste buds, then nothing will.

Ultimately, the whole thing feels a bit like a mocked-up ad entered in “The Pitch” segment on Gruen.

It’s funny and oozes professional production value, but something about it is just too fun and sexy to be believable. And then there’s the date. Don’t forget the date, you April Fool.

ooofffttttt

Then there’s the fact that it’s not clear who is behind the Taste Down South campaign in the first place. If it was official, surely we’d know who organised it, right? We’ve checked with the good people at the South Australian Tourism Commission and they swear it’s not their doing. So the plot thickens.

No harm done, though. There’s nothing wrong with getting horny for a good cause – supporting Aussie hospo workers and farmers.

Now go eat out, in whichever way you fancy. You can find a bunch of Adelaide travel ideas right HERE, if that’s what blows your skirt up.
