Some Rando Has Registered Official Forms To Let The Rock Run For President

Just in case you dared to believe that modern American politics couldn’t get any wilder / didn’t yet deserve to be razed to the ground and built anew, someone has taken a very real first step to making Dwayne Johnson the next president in 2020.

Some bloke named Kenton Tilford has filed with the Federal Electoral Commission to draft The Rock as the nation’s next Commander In Chief. It’s worth noting here that Tilford has zero apparent connections to The Rock, and we can infer he just seems to think the bemuscled specimen is capable of leading the nation.

As such, Run The Rock 2020 is now a very real thing. We’re just standing by for the big man himself to sign on to the campaign now, and truth be told, the possibility isn’t really that farfetched.

In case you were too enamoured by the very real political shitstorm which engulfed the planet last year, Johnson dropped a slew of hints that he’d be interested in the top gig. Speaking to the GQ‘s UK mag, he said “I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out. I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure.

“I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring.”
That was followed by an interview he gave to GQ’s flagship US publication this year, where he straight-up said “I think that it’s a real possibility” he’d take a run at the job.
Oh, there was the time he ‘jokingly’ announced he’d be running with Tom Hanks while on Saturday Night Live:

It’s not yet known if Johnson himself is aware of the push, but good God, you can expect him to have his say once he does.
