Snuggle Up, Sydney: Deliveroo Is Gonna Start Bringing You Brunch In Bed

If you’re the kind of person so brutally confronted by the icy frost of Sydney‘s balmy winters that you must remain in your bed all weekend, then life just got a little bit easier for you. Food delivery service Deliveroo is kicking into gear with brunch delivery that they describe as ‘delivered straight to your sheets’.
It’s only in Sydney, and basically only with a few outlets in the Eastern Suburbs for now, but it’s a relatively tantalising idea. It’s all standard brunch stuff: pancakes, bacon and eggs, all the avocado smashes you could possibly want.
Look forward to the winter months,” says Deliveroo, “by snuggling up warm and having a lie in while riders collect your order and wait on you in just 32 minutes.” We’re not sure of the protocol here, but it sounds good. Maybe you leave the door unlocked and they come hand it to ya?
Maybe they chuck the B&E roll through the window. That’s workable. Or – just maybe – you gotta open the door. Either way, it’s brunch, delivered.
Here’s the suburbs it’s gonna be available in at the beginning: Bondi, Bondi Beach, Bondi Junction, Vaucluse, Watsons Bay, Rose Bay, Waverley, Clovelly, Bronte, Double Bay, Woollahra, Point Piper and Queens Park. So, Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. We assume Malcolm Turnbull lobbied hard for his electorate to have ace brunch delivery options.
Hold tight, Australia. Fingers crossed that it’s coming for you. For those lucky enough to be in the zone, it kicks off Saturday – just in time for the long weekend.
