The Saturday Night Live writer who copped heat over the weekend for her joke tweet suggesting Barron Trump was going to become a ‘homeschool shooter’ has reportedly being indefinitely suspended from the show.
Katie Rich, who joined the SNL team back in 2013, deleted her tweet after receiving criticism and later deleted all the tweets in her account apart from an apology for the Barron tweet.

SNL has not directly commented on the issue, but a person familiar with the situation told Deadline that Rich was suspended immediately after the tweet and the “suspension is indefinite”.
My take? Barron Trump absolutely isn’t immune from jokes, but the school shooter angle is a bit dumb. That said, people getting fired for mild jokes they make online never feels great.
