Sixth Victim Of Bourke Street Attack Identified As 33 Y.O. Bhavita Patel

Yesterday, a 33-year-old woman lost her life after battling injuries sustained 10 days ago from the Bourke Street attack in Melbourne
The woman has now been identified as Bhavita Patel, who lived in Blackburn South, and was a senior manager with financial company Deloitte
The Age describes Patel as a “greatly respected” member of her workplace who had been promoted many times over the past few years. She was seen as a “high-flyer”. She had been walking back to the office after her lunch break when she was struck.
Understandably, her friends and colleagues are “devastated”
Patel was the sixth victim of Dimitrious Gargasoulas‘ driving through the pedestrian area of Bourke Street Mall. The horrific incident has already claimed the lives of 10-month-old, Zachary Bryant, 10-year-old Thalia Hakin, 33-year-old Matthew Si, 22-year-old Jess Mudie, and a 25-year-old Japanese national.
On Tuesday, Premier Daniel Andrews described some victims who remain in hospital in a “grave condition”.
Our thoughts continue to be with those who are suffering from the monumental loss of Patel, and all other victims.
