‘Six Feet Under’ Creator Alan Ball Is Coming To Oz

Alan Ball, the beyond brilliant creative anomaly behind True Blood, Six Feet Under and Oscar-winning movie American Beauty, is coming to Australia.

The Sydney Opera House has just announced that Ball is heading down under for “Alan Ball: Vampires, Death and the Mundane” an in-conversation appearance with Wil Anderson where the wholly original writer/producer/director/playwright will talk in length about his work, his ongoing preoccupation with death, suburban America, and the new series he has developed based on Charlie Huston‘s outrageously graphic, profane and hilarious 2009 crime noir pulp novel “The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death” (a text that is so Alan Ball-ish it could have been devised by the man himself).

There aren’t enough superlatives in the dictionary to provide the level of gush worthy of Alan Ball’s talent. This will undoubtedly be a must-see for writers, creators and, really, anyone who values quality entertainment.
