A Montana-based idiot dude named Michael Delaney – who lives on a ranch that’s presumably the home of many a species of snake – recently used his GoPro to capture footage of a pit of rattlesnakes because, GOD KNOWS. HOLY HELL.
As snakes tend to do, they weren’t too happy about a foreign object invading their personal space and one struck out, causing the camera to fall into the seething pit of reptilian terror.
Aware of the viral potential of footage captured from inside, Delaney steeled his balls to retrieve the GoPro with a hockey stick.
SPOILER: He survived.
Posting about the fucked-up incident on Facebook, Mental Mike said:
“Just got some great rattlesnake footage, the GoPro was knocked off the stick from a snake striking it and landed in a ball of snakes. Fished it out with a hockey stick, just got done cleaning the venom off my GoPro.”
Asked by a friend how he came across the pit of snakes, he explained his dad “rode his dirt bike into the middle of them before he realized what he was into.”
