Shannon Noll Launches Into Rant After Punter Throws Can On Stage

Footage has emerged of 2003 Australian Idol runner-up Shannon Noll going off at a man who threw a beer can on stage during the Duck Creek Picnic Races in regional Nyngan, New South Wales on Saturday night.

The video, which has been viewed more than 500,000 times since being uploaded to Facebook earlier today, shows Noll swearing at the unidentified man and threatening violence:

“Hey, who’s that fucker… whoever threw that, come up here.

That fucker in a tie, everyone look around, come on pretty boy, you’re a fucking maggot. Have some fucking balls to come up here … cheapshot prick.

Hey, who thinks he should come up? Shame that prick, shame that motherfucker right there. Fucking private school stupid fuckhead motherfucker. Have some balls and get up here and I’ll punch your fucking teeth down your throat.

“Then I’ll fuck your missus and your mum.”

Noll then says to the rest of the crowd:

“Let everybody else, apart from that fuckstick, sing along to a great song, okay, here we go. I’ll give someone $100 bucks to punch that fuck for me.

“Enough with the haters, fuck the haters. There’s too many good looking girls here.”

The 42-year-old then calls the man a “cunt”.

The man, however, does not approach the stage and Noll begins to sing Daryl Braithwaite’s cover of Horses.

Since doing the rounds on social media today, people have slammed the singer for his language and questioned where security was during the outburst:

Nine News reports police are investigating the incident.

UPDATE:

Noll has apologised in a statement via his Facebook page explaining bottles had been thrown at him throughout the night, “rattling” him.

“We had similar issues last year with a firecracker thrown onto the stage and one of my band members was seriously hurt.

“I completely understand that this is still no excuse for the way I spoke and I am deeply sorry for the terrible things I said that were purely out of frustration.”

Earlier this year, the singer was a runner-up on Australia’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
