Great news for people who love to laugh but also feel very sad at the same time: Netflix has given us a release date for season 3 of A Series of Unfortunate Events and a short teaser, to boot.

Season 3 will be the final season of the show, covering the last four books — The Slippery Slope, The Grim Grotto, The Penultimate Peril, and The End — over the course of seven episodes and will be hitting whichever screen you prefer to watch Netflix on on January 1st, which will give you something to do with the nasty-ass hangover you will most likely be nursing.
