SEEYA LATER CHILDHOOD: ‘Saturday Disney’ Is Finally Dunzo After 26 Years

If you were a child who had access to a TV in the 90s, then you would have been privy to a particular televisual phenomenon that was so positively Australiana that other countries could not possibly understand.
You, just like almost every other Aussie child born in the last three decades, got up really early every Saturday mornin’ and bugged your parents who were trying to have a lie-in by turning up the volume and watching ‘Saturday Disney’.
And we’re sorry to ruin your childhood and break your nostalgic, cartoon-lovin’ hearts, but it’s just been announced that that the iconic show is finally coming to an end.
The hugely popular 90s show launched the careers of James Sherry, Sofie Formica, Jack Yabsley, Mel Symons, Sara Groen, Shae Brewster, but most of all – the one and only Shelley Craft
The show has spanned decades – it started in 1990, so it’s been on for TWENTY-SIX DAMN YEARS. THIS WHOLE TIME. PRETTY MUCH OUR WHOLE LIVES.
A spokesperson for Channel 7 told TV Tonight
“Saturday Disney has been a part of the children’s schedule for a couple of generations of viewers.

We thank each and every contributor, on both sides of the camera, who were a part of the journey over the 26 year period.”
If you need some time to grieve, we recommend you do it while watching this stupendous cut of ‘Saturday Disney’ hosts, made after they reached 1000 episodes <3
Enjoy:
