A Seattle Nazi Was Knocked Clean Out And People Really Don’t Seem Too Mad

The video of a Seattle man being knocked clean out has gone madly viral, for one very particular reason: he was wearing a fully-fledged Nazi armband at the moment his jaw was readjusted.

Footage of the punch, shared to Twitter by user @bigotbasher, shows the man verbalising something about “welfare”. Moments later, a grey-clad man throws a right hand at his mouth. Afterwards, the puncher can be heard saying there’s “nothing to talk about,” while another onlooker can be heard saying “night night.”

The punch, thrown on Sunday afternoon, came after an apparent coordinated effort to locate the man. He had allegedly verbally abused passengers on public transport and attempted to instigate fights, leading onlookers to alert the Antifa-aligned @bigotbasher of his existence.

It’s believed that the time elapsed between that Twitter account alerting followers to the man’s presence and the man being knocked out was around 90 minutes.

Seattle Police also addressed the incident. Taking to Twitter, the department said they had received several reports about the man’s behaviour, but they found him unconscious upon arrival.

After gaining consciousness, the man declined to speak about the assault, and left the area – minus visible armband.

The Seattle Times reports that since nobody actually reported the incident as a crime, police aren’t investigating the incident any further.

It’s not the first time someone sympathetic with fascist tendencies has been clocked on camera, either. The incident draws parallels with the punching of provocative figurehead Richard Spencer, who was smacked while giving an interview to our very own ABC.

Like the online response to that incident, the classic argument of “is it okay to use violence against those who advocate for the eradication of certain races?” has reemerged, and those opposed to violence in any circumstances claim the punch was unwarranted.

But that viewpoint has been largely overwhelmed by the idea that anyone who publicly subscribes to an ideology that advocates the extinction of certain minorities, and once caused millions of deaths in the attempt, is a fair target for a solid right hook.

Twitter users have also taken the liberty of dubbing the Seattle punch with appropriate (or very, very inappropriate) tunes.

Just think: all of this could have been avoided if that guy didn’t choose to bear the symbol of one of the most objectively evil movements in modern history.
