We’ve often wondered what kind of ~ radical ~ activity the odd but inviting angles of Melbourne’s Federation Square are best suited to. It’s a bit too sparse to tear up on a BMX, and it’s far too pebbly to skate.
From January 4 to January 15, a 75-metre-long slide will adorn the forum for Slide The Square, and tbh, we’re in our boardies already. According to the Fed Square site, $20 tickets – which will be available soon – will grant you a 50 minute sesh.
The attraction will be open from 10am through to 8pm, meaning you’ll be able to escape most of the heat. Until then, hype yourself up with images from last year’s event, and prep yaself for some all-in-good-fun public wedgies:
