Prime Minister Scott Morrison has responded to today’s failed attempt to slap an egg on his head by lashing out at the Australian union movement, because that’s just the world we live in right now.

In the moments after a young woman allegedly threw an egg at Morrison’s head during his appearance at a Country Women’s Association event in Albury, the Prime Minister took to Twitter to discuss the situation.

He expressed his concern for another woman who was reportedly knocked over during the commotion, before likening the incident to recent demonstrations targeted against the Australian livestock industry.
My concern about today’s incident in Albury was for the older lady who was knocked off her feet. I helped her up and gave her a hug. Our farmers have to put up with these same idiots who are invading their farms and their homes.

He then went against unions, vowing action against “militant unionists standing over small businesses and their employees on work sites.”
We will stand up to thuggery whether it’s these cowardly activists who have no respect for anyone, or militant unionists standing over small businesses and their employees on work sites.

Morrison also went ahead and thanked his Australian Federal Police detail, who were on scene during the incident.
NSW Police say a 25-year-old woman was taken into custody after the incident.
It is currently unclear why the alleged egger targeted the PM, and if she has ties to animal rights groups or union bodies.
