‘Bachie’ Evictee Sasha: “I Don’t Give A Fuck! Watch Me Go, Bye-Bye!”

That was fast: Sasha Zhuravlyova arrived on Bachelor In Paradise, had a few drinks at the bar, notably didn’t eat a single rose, and was outta there within a day.

Coming in so late, the odds were stacked against Sasha, who told PEDESTRIAN.TV that there were just no guys left in there for her… and that she reckons Sam and Tara are going to be the ones engaged at the end.

Catch the full interview below.

Obviously you came in quite late into Bachelor In Paradise, and there were all these more established couples. Did you feel like it was harder coming in later in the game?

Absolutely. It made a massive difference you know. Coming in late – yeah, yeah of course.

Did you have a strategy for coming in?

My only strategy is to be myself, to be honest. I really don’t know how to lay games and don’t wish to play games. I just came as myself and thought, ‘If I’m lucky to form a connection quickly with someone, that would be great. If not, then I’ll be out of here. Whatever’. I really couldn’t care less. As soon as I came, I saw that there was no one for me at all, so I just went to the bar, had a few drinks, and then went home!

So were you hanging out with Wais the bartender?

Yeah, I was.

What’s he’s like?

He’s very funny. He’s giving all the advice to everyone, he’s like our little go-to person when you want to vent.

And what were you venting about?

Y’know – that it’s been raining, the tide was low and we couldn’t swim, or whatever! [laughs] Things like that.

So last night, in your post-exit interview – which was really funny – you said you had a limited amount of fucks to give. What were you referring to, what prompted that?

The producer was like, “How do you feel?” and I was like, well I don’t give a shit, to be honest. There was no one left in Paradise for me to form a connection with, so I don’t give a fuck! Watch me go, bye bye!

What was going through your head when Thomas picked Rachel? Did you see that coming?

No, I didn’t see that coming at all. We were all shocked that Thomas picked Rachel when obviously he doesn’t know her at all, and there was nothing between them at all. Yeah, everyone was very surprised.

There also seemed to be quite a bit of drama going on in the last couple episodes, between Leah and Apollo and Simone. Were you seeing that all play out, or was that hammed up for the cameras?

Yeah, yeah, it was very full on, there was lots of stuff happening. As soon as I saw it I was like, oh my god, I’m so not used to all this drama, get me out of here!

Quite a few of the guys had left Paradise by the time you got there. Was there anyone you were hoping had stayed in by the time you arrived?

Well, I was hoping that Michael Turnbull would wait for me, because we are kind of mates. We met in Melbourne and we had drinks, and I thought maybe that would be great if we could have a drink with Michael. But he obviously left, and that’s okay.

There’s a few quite serious couples forming in there. So we’ve got Sam and Tara and Jarrod and Keira, do you reckon they’re going to last the distance after Paradise?

Yeah, absolutely. I reckon Sam and Tara are the strongest couple. They might be the couple that’s going to get engaged – if they’re is an engagement – and they might have lots of little babies, I don’t know!

One of the things you’re most known for is the rose eating from Richie’s season. Do you ever get frustrated that that is the number one thing people know you for?

I do, I do get frustrated by that. This is something that’s going to haunt me forever and ever, probably, because this is what I did, and this is what goes on national TV! I can’t escape it.

Do you stay in contact with anyone from Paradise?

I do. I’m very good friends with Rachel, and a few other girls from the Bachelor season, so yeah. I don’t have any enemies, that’s for sure.

Are you dating anyone at the moment?

I’m not, I’m very single.

Do you have any regrets from your time either on Bachelor or Bachelor In Paradise?

No, no regrets whatsoever.

And finally, what’s next for you?

Um… nothing! Not much. Just working at L’Oréal, loving my life, and seeing what happens next!
