Unrivalled Goddess, 42 year old comedienne and the phenomenal go-to rebuttal for the exhausting and awful Female Comedians Aren’t Funny debate, Sarah Silverman yesterday appeared on ex-boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. As high profile exes are wont to do, obviously.
Clearly nailing it as the veritable winner of the relationship—as there always is in the unofficial competition that plays out when bumping into an ex—Sarah Silverman was Jimmy Kimmel’s guest to promote her new HBO show, We Are Miracles, but instead brought the obligatory cardboard box stuffed with ex-lover’s meaningless bits of paraphernalia, oddities and junk, returning the items to Kimmel live on air. Crushed five-year long romances, amirite?
“People break up, and exes are gonna bump into each other. They’re gonna cross paths. They’re gonna be on each other’s talk shows, you know? It’s the cycle of life,” mused Silverman, as she brought out Kimmel’s toothbrush, socks, a collage of all the faces she cut from their photos together and a pair of jeans before Kimmel slimmed down, to a roaring applause, while saying that everything between them since their 2009 breakup, “It’s like I never left, only you’re married now!”
Bless you, Sarah Silverman. Never change.
