She posted a ~gorgey~ makeup-free selfie on her personal Instagram page today, and captioned it with something so adorable that it made our hearts grow a size, like The Grinch.
Sam talks about how young women and girls often tell her they ‘want to be as pretty as her’ on The Bachelorette, which is fair enough, because she’s obviously a stunning human.
But Sam wants everyone to know that she too gets pimples, uneven skin-tones and black bags under her eyes, and she regularly bums around at home with her hair up in a messy bun, wearing trackies covered in dried egg yolk from when she ate a rogue bacon & egg sanga three weeks ago. (Oh, that last one is just me? Ooookay then.)
But srsly, a huge amount of women suffer from low self-esteem, body dysmorphia, and a whole range of other body-acceptance issues. Seeing women in the public eye highlighting their comfortability with their body (with or without makeup; it’s your choice what you do with your body!), helps open the gateways to a more comfortable and accepting society.
Let’s normalise liking ourselves, yeah? It’s dope to like yourself.
