We know, we know: we thought we were done writing about Salim Mehajer, and no doubt you hoped you were done reading about him.
But, in a surprising development, the suspended Auburn councillor’s wife Aysha has applied for an apprehended violence order against him.
Police confirmed the Sydney City Local Area Command received an AVO application against Mehajer on Monday, with the former Wollongong beautician using her maiden name of Learmonth on the papers.
Nothing about the basis for the application is known, though more details should come to light when Aysha appears in court on Wednesday to formalise the application against her husband.
Speculation their relationship is done-zo has been buzzing for months, but Mehajer was posting loved-up pics of the two of them as recently as last week.
